Who we are, where we are, what we do, why we do it.
Hickston was founded in 2014 by Paul Horton, with the aim to make unique products that combine practical design and high quality materials with lasting style, fun and a sense of adventure.
The beautiful countryside of North Yorkshire, with its hills and coastline, are both wild and welcoming and full of adventure. It’s the home of Hickston, and the perfect place to make our practical, stylish and characterful products.
We source sustainable hardwoods from our local timber yard and test our products in our workshop, in our homes and on the local hills of the North York Moors National Park, to ensure their performance and lasting appeal.
We take traditional solutions to everyday living, and combine with designs that add a little bit of luxury, comfort and colour to create unique and sustainable gifts for all the family.
